The Power of your subconscious mind - Summary
This is the first book I purchased and read completely, just to develop my reading habit. During the initial times, I was so productive that I had a sheet of paper where I would write down the key points that needed to be in my long-term memory 😅 And recently, I thought to type the points to my notion and thought like, why don’t I make it a medium article! , so here you go.
As the title says this book focuses on the potential of the human mind with respect to faith and belief in God, some of the parts have a huge Christian influence cause the author James Murphy was into religious science.
I was not satisfied with the fact that with prayers and self-belief, one can achieve more in life and some chapters include some superstitious things too, but what this book conveys is directly or indirectly our thoughts will result in goals, only if you have a strong grit to achieve it. Below are the key points/quotes that caught my attention in the book:
- Attitudes are more important than facts
- Self-knowledge leads to cure
- One of the deepest drivers of human nature is the desire to be appreciated
- Human nature has a deep tendency to become what you frequently imagine yourself to be

- Build a strong faith in the creator which will enable you to have a humble but realistic faith in yourself
